Church of God Hosts Blood Drive on World Blood Donor Day

On July 21, 2024, over 80 volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God in Washington, D.C., gathered at the INOVA Center for Personalized Health’s Innovation Center in Fairfax, VA, for the 1,521st Worldwide Blood Drive. This event, held in observance of World Blood Donor Day and the Church’s 60th anniversary, aimed to address the ongoing need for blood donations and support those in critical medical conditions.

During the six-hour event, more than 70 people donated blood, including eight who gave double-red cell donations, contributing to the life-saving effort. These donations helped save 210 lives, making a significant impact on the local healthcare system. The blood drive was part of the Church’s broader Emergency Relief campaign, which focuses on providing immediate support during emergencies, such as natural disasters and medical crises.

Raising Awareness and Supporting Medical Emergencies on World Blood Donor Day

The importance of blood donation was emphasized throughout the event, with volunteers helping to raise awareness about how a simple donation can make a life-changing difference for individuals facing medical emergencies. Blood shortages are a persistent challenge, and drives like this help ensure that hospitals and medical centers can meet the demands of patients in need.

This blood drive served as an example of the power of community action, where individuals come together for a common cause to make a difference. Beyond the act of donating, it was an effort to inspire others to participate in future relief initiatives. By taking part in events like this, volunteers not only helped save lives but also contributed to a culture of compassion and service to those in urgent need.

Heavenly Family & God the Mother

The Bible’s Answer to the Question, “Is There Really God the Mother in the Bible?”
All churches agree on referring to God as “Father” regardless of their denomination.
Throughout history, mankind has worshiped and believed in only one God, God the Father,
but the Bible has repeatedly taught us that for mankind to receive life
and enter the eternal kingdom of heaven, the existence of God the Mother is essential.
