ASEZ WAO Cleanup at Jones Point Park in Alexandria, VA

On November 24, 2024, 50 dedicated volunteers from ASEZ WAO gathered at Jones Point Park in Alexandria, VA, to host a park cleanup event. This initiative was part of ASEZ WAO’s Blue Ocean Campaign, which focuses on addressing environmental challenges through community involvement and protecting local natural resources.

The volunteers worked together to clean the park’s trails, picnic areas, and waterfront. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a shared mission, they collected debris, including plastic bottles, food wrappers, and discarded fishing gear. In just a few hours, they managed to remove over 100 pounds of waste, making a significant improvement to the park’s appearance.
